Resident Director Windows Setup
If you’re a new Resident Director, here are the things you’ll need to set up on your new computer.
Setting up your printers and mapping shared drives
Refer to this article for setting up your printers and shared drives: How to Add Printers and Map Network Drives.
You’ll want to map the following drives: \\vulcan\REO and \\vulcan\RES-ED.
Setting up shared mailboxes
Refer to this article for adding mailbox to Outlook: How to Add Mailboxes to Microsoft Outlook.
You’ll want to add the following mailboxes: SH-MB-REO After Hours Assistants, SH-MB-REO Attendance, and SH-MB-REO Student Staff.
Setting up shared calendars
Open your calendar in Outlook, click Add Calendar, and choose From Address Book.
Search for and add the following: SH-MB-REO Attendance, SH-MB-REO On Call Calendar, and SH-MB-REO Planning Calendar.
Logging into OneDrive
You’ll want to make sure you’re logged into OneDrive so your documents sync to the cloud and provide a backup and a way to easily share files.
Right-click the blue cloud icon in the system tray.
If prompted, log in with your UC Davis email address. You should eventually see the status above indicating your files are synced.
