Step 1: Set your Student Housing departmental email password.
Log in with your student credentials to Windows. Open a web browser and in type in the URL: 365.ucdavis.edu. You will be redirected to the UCDAVIS Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) login page (seen below). Your organizational account will be your username@ou.ad3.ucdavis.edu and the one-time password StudentHousing2024!
You will then be prompted to change your password. Again, the ‘old password’ will be: StudentHousing2024!
New Password Requirements:
Must be minimum 12 characters
At least one Capital letter
At least one number and special character.
Cannot have any part of their name
Can be the same as their passphrase to make it easy to remember but must have at least one Capital and/or number
Type your new password and confirm it. Click Submit.
Be sure to remember this password - it will be required when you setup the Outlook client.
Login with your new credentials to make sure they work.
Note: This login can be used to check email remotely. Again the URL to remember is: 365.ucdavis.edu
Step 2: Configuring Outlook Client:
Open Outlook from Start Menu to Complete E-mail Accounts wizard -
Account Configuration Section:
Type the next address must be typed in:
Password: Enter the password that you set up previously
It will search for the mail server
Click OK in the next window called “Stay Signed to all your apps”
Click Done in the next windows called “We’re all set”
Uncheck option “set up Outlook mobile on phone, Click Done and Outlook will open
Click to Sign in.
Type the previous email address to Activate Office and click Next
How to add CHO mailbox:
Go to File | Click Account Settings button and select Account Settings
The dialog box will display with Microsoft Exchange Server highlighted
On the Email Tab select the Change Button
Select More Settings
Select Advanced Tab
Select Add button
Type SH-MB-Conference Housing
Click OK
SH-MB-Conference Housing will display
Uncheck Download shared folders option.
Click Apply
Ok and Finish to close.
You will then see the mail box below your email folders.
(Note: When you are sending from a different mailbox, other than your own, you need to change the “From” field.
If the from field is not available go to the Options tab and select Show From Fields icon.
You will only need to change this when sending from a different mailbox – it will default to your email address)
Mapping network drive.
Step 1: Go to File Explorer, right click over This PC and select Map Network Drive
Step 2: Type in the Folder box this: \\vulcan\CHOStaff and click Finish. Repeat operation to add another drive (\\vulcan\ConfHous).
Map Printers
Open File Explorer and type \\sh-maia64 in the path bar. Double click the next printers to install them:
