How to check the Windows 10 Build Number

To determine the build of Windows 10 that is installed, follow these steps:

 Instructions

  1. Right-click the start menu and select Run.

     

  2. In the Run window, type winver and click OK.

     

  3. The window that opens will display the Windows 10 build that is installed. In the example below, the build number is Version 21H2.

     

If you build number is 20H2, your computer needs to be updated. Please submit a helpdesk support request to let us know your computer has not been updated.
