Activating cellular service on an iOS device that has past the 30 day Activation window.

 Instructions

If a replacement cellular device is purchased but is not activated within 30 days of the purchase, you will not be able to activate via the AT&T website.  In order to activate cellular on the device, you will need to open at ticket with Communication resources by emailing them at CR-Service@ucdavis.edu. In the ticket you will need to provide them with the following three items relating to the phone:

Wireless phone number
IMEI
ICCID

The CSR can use that information to activate the device with an eSIM. When you connect the device to WiFi, the eSIM should activate. Keep in mind that that old devices SIM will deactivate when you activate the new. Once the CSR activates the iPad you will see prompts about finishing the activation on the iPad itself (as long as it’s connected via WiFi (eduroam or hotspot). Follow the prompts and you will get a message when the SIM has been activated.
