Meeting notes.

How to prioritize reaching out to campus?  Identify groups that can help disseminate information.  Also, looking for individuals who can present to their peers. 

What are mechanism in place like fmfp group in which the user group member can invite us to their meeting for a demo or a brief training?

Faculty have other priorities than smartsite so this isn't easy to arrange.  Also, many faculty have been exposed to SmartSite in some venue.  Many staff have not seen SmartSite yet. 

Ask Andy how we can get to the faculty via his fmfp group. 
Can your faculty (1) carry the word, (2) talk to their depts., (3) see some value to letting trainers come to their department meetings for a hands on, drop in session.

Trc - survey to everyone on their list.  Andy to work with this effort?  The survey list will need name recognition with the sender.

Religious studies - Fernando has approached this group but with no luck.
Spanish - Fernando has approached this group but nothing has been scheduled.
Gsa - Fernando gave a talk.  No contacts resulted.
Italian studies - Dept chair contacted Fernando and will call back to Fernando.

TAs - list of TAs for each quarter.  Contact them directly.  Ask Linda for this.  List for spring quarter.  AI for Sandra.

Orientation in Fall for TAs.  This is done through TRC. Trainers are involved in this usually.  Will participate in Spring qtr 2008.  Will there be time for a demo to this group?  Follow up with them via phone?

MSO executive counsel meets monthly.  Give them a presentation.  15 of them comprise an exec counsel.  In the meeting, then distribute a sign up sheet.  Babette will follow up on this.

The More Thoughtful Teaching group, meets periodically.  We could survey this group.  This group invites faculty to come meet with them over pedagogical issues.  Coordinated by Leslie Madsen-Brooks.  Steve to ask Leslie m-b regarding giving her groups a demo.  If so, Steve or Fernando to addend also.

Ai - contact Laura Townsley.  Why hasn't her group asked for a SmartSite Demo?

tsp group.  Give them another presentation.  Have a sign up sheet here also.  Talk to ann mansker. Pam Davis, school of Education can present on this occasion.  Steve to contact Pam.

Senior advisors - associate deans, avp, avc. - Babette to contact this group

Council of deans and vc chancellors -- Babette

Univ communications councils - headed by Lisa Lapin.  - Babette to contact this group.

Humanities institute uses smartsite to manage their faculty associated with the Institute - Carolyn de la Pena, also in American studies.  Have Andy follow up.  Can she influence others to take a hands on look at SmartSite?

Offering an open forum to the campus - collaborative presentation.  Mix of presenters.  Have them talk about their usage.  1.5 hrs with food at the Buehler center.
