This Friday (6/2/06), MG and Bb met with Marion Franck of the UC Davis Magazine to discuss the Sakai project. In an article scheduled for publication in the fall, Franck is researching Facebook and the dedicated, collaborative effort that students are putting into social networking tools of this nature.
After hearing about Sakai, Franck and her editor have agreed to include a Sakai sidebar to the story, detailing how this trend towards online collaboration has caught the eye of universities and, through Sakai, universities like UC Davis are responding by providing these new ways to tap into the intricacies of teaching and learning, with innovative tools our students are growing up with and will feel comfortable using.
