Configure Ivanti Secure Access (VPN)

This how-to will walk you through installing and configuring the Ivanti VPN use to access campus resources.

  1. Type Company Portal in the Windows search field (next to the start button).

  2. Open the Company Portal and look for Ivanti app and click Install.

    This will install the VPN software. You should not be prompted for any credentials.

 

  1. Once the software is installed, use the Start Menu to locate and open Ivanti Secure Access.

  2. Select the Plus symbol to add a new connection.

 

  1. Enter the following VPN connection information and then click Add to save the connection.

    Type: (do not change this setting)
    Name: Campus VPN (or another name of your choosing)
    Server URL: vpn.ucdavis.edu

  1. Click the Proceed button

  1. You will then be asked to authenticate using Duo.

 

  1. Select the Preferred TUNNEL and click connect.

  1. Click the Proceed button.

A green checkmark will appear in your Connections list once the connection is successful.

 

When you need to use the VPN, open Ivanti and click Connect next to the connection. Click Disconnect to end the connection.
