8/2 Changes to the FAQ on the SmartSite-test site (production server)
- SmartSite users can now create their own sites.
- Documentation for site creation is posted on the production server.
- The FAQ on smartsite-test needs updating, then QA to reflect these changes so it can replace the FAQ on the production site.
8/2 Changes for ietwebposting
- Changes for the FAQ on smartsite-test:
- At the bottom of the "Background" page, point the broken link "Set Up a Class or Project Site" to the production server's "Set Up a Class or Project Site Page"
- On the "Conversion from MyUCDavis" page, under "Why did UC Davis choose to pursue SmartSite considering we already have the MyUCDavis course management tools?," point the "Tools" link to the production server's tool's page.
- On the "What's in it for me?" page point the FMFP link to http://fmfp.ucdavis.edu
- On the "Begin Using and Customizing" page
- Under "Getting Started" on the main FAQ page, the links to sections a. and b. do not go to their respective answers.
- Under Getting Started, change the answer to part b. to "To begin using SmartSite, Set up a Class or Project Site and Link "Set up a Class or Project Site" to the production page of the same name.
- Remove the following text and links under "Getting Started"
c. How long will it take to create my site?
d. Will users ever be able to create sites without having to submit a form?
