SmartSite Fall Kickoff Event

Purpose

The SmartSite fall kickoff will provide a town hall-type forum to:

  • officially begin the campus' transition to SmartSite
  • provide "case studies" from current users
  • raise awareness of the available Training and Support resources
  • build a community of active users who are aware of the collaborative nature of the Sakai platform.
  • encourage and solicit feedback

Possible Locations, Dates and Costs

Alumni Center AGR Room Details

  • Cost: $285 for 4 hrs, includes set-up but no equipment
  • Cancellation Fees (includes CEVS $20 fee)
    • 60 days out: $170
    • Within 30 days: $220
    • 48hours: $305
  • Dates Available (as of 8/10/07)

MU II Room Details

  • Cost: $115 for 4hrs, $15 for each additional hour. Includes set-up, but no equipment
  • Cancellation Fees (includes CEVS $20 fee)
    • Up to 30 days out: $50
    • Within 30 days: $125
  • Dates Available (as of 8/10/07)

  • Alumni Center
  • MU Conference Room
  • Grove in front of Mediaworks
  • Wellman 26 for keynote/TRC Meeting room reception (like SITT)

Possible Event Times/Types

  • 12-2 Lunchtime BBQ w/keynote and poster tables (MW Grove)
  • 12-2 Town hall Forum Lunch w/keynote, panel, user questions, reception (Alumni Center, MU)
  • 3-5 Afternoon Town hall Forum w/keynote, panel, user questions, reception (MU, Alumni Center, MW)
