Beau is currently working on a PPS datafeed problem. Banner and Mothra were a go, but PPS data is an issue.

Upcoming Product Demo

Dave reports that an Australian company will demo their media repository product for VetMed soon. The single sign-in media repository works with Sakai according to the rep. The product appears to be full-featured and robust.

Review of Winter/Spring 2007 Gap Analysis

Reviewed new items on the list:

Evaluation System:

  • Offer comment line for instructor (e.g., Gina Davis - Small Animal handling session) to help identify individuals for the evaluatee.

CREST:

  • Fix the show IP Grading

  • Drop select controls and grey text when items are not valid selections

Database:

  • Handle exceptions for nightly updates - append to local tablespace.

  • Rearchitect nightly updates to allow for more frequent updates (30-minutes or hourly). Update from Ray - currently takes 15-20 minutes for Banner/PPS/Mothra nightly update. Rewrote code to minimize to about 2 minutes; will implement shortly.

  • Develop role management to allow for local roles, guests, CE and Open Campus students. Ray has done some preliminary work on defining VM roles matrix which team reviewed.

  • Ilios checks UCDMain; modify so that if course description not found, check for it in UCDCAF (note: per Ray, probably won't exist here either.) Often for research or independent study courses

  • Need mechanism for defining and pulling in courses w/o students where sites are desired by faculty, generally resident courses (ending with R)

Additional Notes

  • Ray will be meeting w/Kirk re:collaboration efforts with IET. Dave will be posting Captivate files to share with IET.

  • Need to work on Help files for CREST and evaluation system (for admins).
