SmartSite Rocket Ships
Rocket Ships are those pages and tools which are singularly most critical to our interface with our SmartSite Community. The handling of these modules should have heightened responsibility and care.
Rocket ships include the following:
- Gradebook
- Assignments
- Site Info
- Section Manager
- the Gateway/portal and any thing on it
- the SmartSite Help splash page
Practices for handling rocket ships:
Any changes to a rocket ship should result in regression testing, even if critical code is not touched in the change.
Any change to a rocket ship should require a QA inspection right after the deployment to production to make sure it was a successful roll out.
Prior to the production deployment, any change to a rocket ship should be announced widely prior to the rollout.
