- SSWG Standards Process. Discussion (and, hopefully) acceptance of Standards Process and Repository, for submission to the IT Roadmap Coordinating Council.
- Browser Standards. Discussion of what we want to do to adopt the ITAG's Web Standards and Browser Recommendations for UC Content Providers at UCD.
- Principles for a Framework for Data Interchange. As most of you know, I've been talking up the notion of SSWG developing a framework for data interchange. Here are some initial thoughts:
- The goal of the framework is to facilitate the business of the University, particularly the alignment and integration of business processes administered by multiple organizational units.
- Requirements for privacy and security must be addressed.
- Implementations must make effective use of University resources, sharing and reusing components where possible.
- Data can be misinterpreted, particularly when shared among different organization units. The framework must mitigate the risk of poor business decisions that result from misunderstanding of data obtained from other organizational units.
- The August 26 SSWG Meeting. I will be in Denver. Reschedule? Cancel? Meet without me?
