Finalization of the 2010 Work Plan
- Interface standards
- Standards should be collected in one place, along with expectations for compliance.
- The new Identity and Access Management (IAM) system should be the first "core" application for which we develop interface standards.
- Rice will also be important for interface standards.
- We discussed developing standard skills and knowledge for programmer positions, as well as interview questions for those positions.
- We'll reword the "vetting standards" item to indicate that it covers all processes related to establishing and maintaining standrads, as well as the repository for those standards.
- We need to implement a review cycle for established standards.
- We'll add a new work item to indicate that we will establish standards as they are needed. Examples include usability, development methodology, interface standards, etc.
- We'll discuss this further at the March meeting.
Finalization of Our Preliminary Application Platform Recommendations
- The document was accepted. It will now be presented to the IT Roadmap Coordinating Council.
The ITAG Recommendations for Browser Support in Applications
- The comments from UC Davis are being collected on the ITAG wiki, along with other campuses' comments, at https://spaces.ais.ucla.edu//x/KAJ5AQ. Comments will be final on March 8.
- At a future meeting, we will discuss leveraging the ITAG's work to establish UCD standards.
Current 200-45 Reviews (Kuali Rice and MyInfoVault)
- Tom Wiley, Curtis Bray, Yuhang Shi, and David Walker will propose SSWG comments on Kuali Rice to SSWG for submittal to the 200-45 process. They will also frame a discussion of Rice for a future SSWG meeting.
- Chris Derr, Jeremy Phillips, Tom Wiley, and Scott Kirkland will propose SSWG comments on MyInfoVault to SSWG for submittal to the 200-45 process.
- Proposed comments should be sent to the SSWG for review by Wednesday, 3/3/2010, as comments to the 200-45 process are due on Friday, 3/5/2010.
