VetMed Developer's Meeting

4/25/07

Planning for 2.4 Migration

Scott - Reviewing course management and adaptation to VetMed feed; working on data provider and import functions.
Beau is reviewing the database migration paths.
Ray - suggests investigating the external view being used by campus sakai.
Goal is to get a working version up by the end of the quarter to allow time for training preparation. Need to update a 2.4 version with CERE skins for training materials.

Chris - Do we intend to set up the full list of courses for Fall 2007 as with previous quarters? Current plans are to pre-populate courses each quarter.

EVAL

Phil - Working out some minor eval issues with Chris; working on JSF issues to return user to desired location on the screen.
Chris suggests trying out the FireBug tool; noted that ColdFire is a cool tool for CF debug info.
Ray - wrap up current evaluation development by end of quarter (in 5-6 weeks)? Phil - Enhancements for Phase 1 completed by then, unsure about deliverables for phases 2 and 3.

Training

Rick - What is the policy for rollover and archiving of existing courses (and their materials)?
Chris - Since courses may be created programmatically, either all content or none must be copied. There is a risk of staleness or of students accessing the course materials before faculty as ready to release them. Copy functions are different in v2.4.
