Chat room should not allow blank messages to be displayed

Tool: Chat

Test steps:

1. Add Forums Chat tool to your course if not there already .
2. Create a new Forum and then Topic to your course so that students can chat. Reference QA_MessageCenter.xls if needed.
3. Access the topic and then post a message to the topic using Post New Thread.
4. Try to post a message without any message text .
5. Log in as a student and try to submit a blank message, i.e., a message without message text.
6. Try to reply to any previous message without any text in the message text fieldto the default Main Chat Room
7. Create a new chat room and try to send a message without any message text.

Pass: Messages Chat messages without message text either receive an alert when on submit or are not created.
Fail: Messages Chat messages without message text are saved and viewable.
