HEIC is a format for saving pictures and images that uses advanced compression to save high-quality files in a small size. While the format is very efficient, not all operating systems can view the files natively. If you’re using Windows 10, the built-in photos application can convert HEIC files into standard jpg or png files.

  1. Navigate to the HEIC file you want to convert.

  2. Right-click the file and click Open With -> Photos

  3. In the Photos app, click the 3 dots and choose Save as.

  4. From the Save As dialogue box, you can select the format you want to save the file as. We recommend .jpg or .png for the most compatibility.
