USER EXPERIENCE
Rick - course managers experiencing anxiety uploading to Resources. No indication that upload is occurring, so some faculty will repetitively hit button extending load time.
Long-standing issue w/slow upload since 2.0 per Beau.
Current solution is to provide information to course managers/faculty regarding this to lessen anxiety and generate familiarity w/environment experience
Dave - request for stats on Resources. Beau can possibly add stats tool after dev if stable/post Evaluation promotion.
Some faculty requesting videotaping for podcast using ProfCast to edit recorded material.
Captivate status - awaiting media server environment resolution. Current location okay - local downloads are quick. Larger 1-2 hr or more up to 200MB. Wireless downloads can be 24sec to 6min (30 machine test.) Recommending that students grab downloads outside of class time.
SERVER/SYSTEM ISSUES
Fix enhancement to CERE. SMTP as host on internal machine - CERE & Java-based CF send email out does not seem to function. iIx is to use different host, e.g., mailbox.
Beau talking to DC. Some CF pages have SMTP hard-coded. Occurred on 3 different servers. Need to diagnose issue. 15th - 26th mail queueing up. Announcements w/high priority going through queue first. Backlog of Announcements - none went out.
CERE TOOLS
T&Q not up on production until 2.1.x patches/updates are completed.
