If course instructor is not a VM instructor, not sure how to manage

Rick/Dave - Upcoming training session 7/6/06. Staff training was very interactive, lots of feedback. Will come up with FAQ's based on comments - including course and scheduling management questions

Discussion of unified Help site for staff, faculty, etc. pointing to CERE website, i.e., generic top-level help with links to various systems. Indications to staff of proper system for making specific changes, i.e., syllabus, course leader, scheduling or other course support information to be made in-system? In Help? Chris working on access/permissions model with Jan to identify and diagram authoratative source.
Beau - setup CERE training for Rick/Dave. Firewall for training. Need to determine which tools will be available - identify and implement roles from granular control document (which may have drifted in use since documents origin.) Will create a course w/appropriate tools - default set for production launch - prior to tomorrow's training session. Will most likely implement Message Center (not Discussion tool) for advanced training later. Will eliminate tools not to be used or supported. Limit access for training and production.
Expect more questions on course tool usage from faculty than staff.
Beau to get Samigo patches from Thomas for upload to CERE
Gave Captivate media to MW; need to work out relationship for access to media server content.
