Sakai LMS Vs. MyUCDavis Comparison: (4/5/2006)

  • A table showing SAKAI LMS tools vs the My UC Davis CMS tools (as they are available now and as they will be) is something we feel nees to be in the intoduction section. Maybe Add right in front of or after "Getting Started with SAKAI". These would NOT be written instructions. In fact, the recently circulated TSP documents Sakai Timeline, "Comparative Overview of Tools" section is not unlike what we had in mind (with a brief introductory blurb). Something like this just seems to FIT there at the front of the list of Tech Tips. It would serve to help MyUC Davis CMS users navigate in SAKAI. We are working this one out later Friday afternoon.

Thus, the "SAKAI Tech Tips" as we have them, can probably be shared next week depending upon when they all are submitted and Nancy Olsen's schedule.

All,

Attached is a mock questionnaire that we would like to give to all TSCs in academic departments. The goal here is to better gauge their role in supporting course management tools, especially those external to MyUCDavis. To that end, please review the attached document and feel free to suggest additional questions or changes to the existing ones. Please keep in mind that we want to keep this survey as short as possible, to ensure that TSCs will take the time to complete it.
