In Message Center (MC), UC Davis uses only 3 of the possible roles available. Those roles correspond to our main roles of Student, TA, Instructor and an additional role of Collaborator as requested by the Library group. The equivalency to MC roles is shown in the table below. Tests will validate that these roles are active and functional for our v2.3 upgrade.

Test 1: 
Confirm that the Message Center permissions are correctly set by checking the functionality for Instructor, TA, and Student roles in a new site.
Download and run through the QA_MessageCenter.xls test and report your finding in Jira SAK-333.
Test 2: 
Access the Library Explorers Group site and verify that the Collaborator role exists and is assigned to some of the users of this site.
This part of the test requires admin access and a visual verification that the roles exist in the course. SU as an individual with Collaborator status and confirm that you have the same permissions as a Student role in the QA_MessageCenter.xls test.
