- “Release� and “Hold� buttons will appear on Manage Open Actions page.
- The “Hold� button will be disabled by default and dossier will arrive at the school/college location; however, the dossier will not appear be available for the dean to sign on the MIV Main page “Review/Sign Dean's Final Decision/Recommendation� link/action count. This allows the until the dean's analyst to prepare prepares the dossier (uploads any comments or final decisions) and releases the dossier for signature by selecting "Release to Dean".
- Selecting the “Release� button flags the dossier as available for the dean's signature in on the MIVMain page “Review/Sign Dean's Final Decision/Recommendation� link/action count. This provides the list of dossiers ready for the dean's signature.
- When a dossier has been signed, the “Release� button will remain selected (disabled) and the status will be “Released.�
- To re-release a dossier for signature that has already been signed, the School/College Admin will need to select the “Release� button again so that the dossier will appear available for signature in the MIV Main page “Review/Sign Dean's Final Decision/Recommendation� and “Review/Sign Vice Provost’s Final Decision� link/action countThe dossier can be put on hold and re-released as needed.
- Primary and Joint Appointment processing status can not be “Completed� until the “Release� button has been selected and the decision has been signed.
