Setting up new Intune Computer for deployment

 

Turn on device, navigate to bios and change the following.

  • Date and time

  • Management setting Deep sleep control: on

  • AC Recovery: ON

  • Wake on Lan: ON

  1. Locate mac address from laptop Box or Desktop via bios and add to Mac Filter.

  2. Locate computer serial number in Intune Via link.

Add Device Computer Name and Group Tag.

  • For primary device Naming Convention = SH-department-number

  • For shared device Naming Convention SH-S Department-number S for shared

  • For Primary computer Group Tag = SH

  • For Shared Computer Group Tag = SH-Shared

  • Incase you need help locating what’s the next number please search in Intune not AD

  1. Make sure once you assign the Tag. The Profile status changes to assigned in Intune.

  2. Print the computer name sticker and attached to new computer.

  3. Assign and stick Asset tag to computer.

  4. Add all information to Inventory.
