Usually this means you’re good to go.

If you get errors even with all checks passing
->
Open up Onity Client
->
Is there an error? (usually something about memory access)
->
Yes: restart Onity Client
No: try activating / issuing the card again. Submit a ticket if it still fails

What is this?

This status report helps you see if your computer is ready to talk to the Onity door lock system. It checks two main things:

  • Service Proxy: This is a helper that allows our system to do some Onity tasks, even if the Onity software isn't running directly on your computer. It is currently disabled, so you will need the Onity Client running on your PC to perform Onity tasks.

  • Your PC: This checks if the actual Onity software (”Onity Client”, “Integra”, "Integra Client") is running on your computer and set up correctly.

Why is this important?

  • If the Service Proxy is working, you can do things like encode Onity keycards with the MSR or mark them as lost without Onity Client running.

  • If Your PC is connected and the Onity Client is running, you can do everything related to Onity locks.

What do the symbols mean?

  • ✅ (Green Checkmark): Good! This part is working as it should.

  • ❌ (Red X): Uh oh. This part isn't working. You might not be able to do some Onity tasks.

  • ➖ (Dash): This feature is turned off for now.

How to use this page

  • Look at the "Service Proxy" section: Since the service proxy is disabled, you can skip this section for now.

  • Look at the "Your PC" section:

    • If you see a green checkmark (✅), your computer is all set up to use Onity!

    • If you see a red X (❌), the Onity Client might not be running or might need to be set up differently.

    • Click the refresh button (the little circle with arrows 🔄) to check again.

  • More Details (if you need them):

    • If you click on the "Your PC" section, you'll see more information about your computer's connection to Onity.

Understanding the "Your PC" Details

When you click on the "Your PC" section, you'll see a few technical details. Here's what they mean:

  • IP Address in PC List + Interface connection is set: These check if your computer is correctly registered in our Onity system.

    • If either one shows a red X, the Onity Client might not be able to communicate with our servers.

    • These settings need to be configured by CSG so please contact the helpdesk if you see a red X for either of them.

  • Connection is responsive: This is a simple test to see if the Onity Client is actively listening and responding. It's like checking if the client is "awake" and ready to work.

    • A red X here could mean multiple things: the client is frozen or not running properly, network issues are preventing communication, or the Client wasn’t closed by the previous user.

What to do if something isn't working

  • If the Service Proxy isn't working (red X):

    • We’ll be alerted to it going down and will be investigating - for now you should run the client directly on your PC.

  • If Your PC isn't connected (red X):

    • Make sure the Onity Client is running on your computer.

    • Double-check that the Onity Client is setup according to the ASD Cheatsheet.

    • Try clicking the refresh button (🔄).

    • Reboot the PC since the Client will not work if multiple users have it open.

      • This can happen if someone previously used the PC and didn’t close the Client when changing users.

If you're still having trouble, please contact the CSG helpdesk for assistance. We can help you troubleshoot the connection and make sure everything is set up correctly.
