Set up Smartsite footer links and text content for v2.3 upgrade
Note: SAK-396 repeats step 9 of this test.
Validate that the SmartSite footer links and text appear and function as specified:
- The first row of links at the bottom of the page in the gold bar are: "SmartSite", "Support & Training", "Information & Educational Technology (IET)", "University of California, Davis", and "Sakai Copyright."
- Selecting the SmartSite link loads the SmartSite site in the browser window. Validate by selecting My Workspace, a course or a project site and then select the SmartSite link in the footer.
- Selecting the Support & Training link opens a new window with the SmartSite site on the Support & Training link. Validate by checking that the SmartSite tab is selected in the top navigation, that Support & Training is bolded in the left-hand navigation, and that the Support & Training content are all displayed in the new window.
- Selecting the Information & Educational Technology link opens a new window with the url http://iet.ucdavis.edu/
- Selecting the University of California, Davis link opens a new window with the url http://www.ucdavis.edu
- Selecting the Sakai Copyright link opens a new window which displays new window.
Modify the URL in the new window to read "smartsite-test.ucdavis.edu" instead of "smartsite.ucdavis.edu"
Verify the following text appears:- "Copyright 2003-2006 The Sakai Foundation."
- "All rights reserved."
- "Portions of Sakai are copyrighted by other parties as described in the Acknowledgments screen."
- The Selecting the Acknowledgments screen link on the Sakai Copyright page loads this screen at the following url: http://sakai2.ucdavis.edu/portal/site/!gateway/page/!gateway-600a new page.
Modify the URL in the new window to read "smartsite-test.ucdavis.edu" instead of "sakai2.ucdavis.edu"
Compare the contents in this screen to the open window. - Close the Achknowledgements window and return to Smartsite-test. The second row of text on the Smartsite footer should display "Copyright 2003-2006 The Sakai Foundation. All rights reserved. Portions of Sakai are copyrighted by other parties as described in the Acknowledgments screen."
- The third row of text on the Smartsite footer should display text similar to this:
- SmartSite@UCDavis - [ucd: sakai_full_2-3-x-000test-007] - Sakai 2.3.x - Server "hanley-dev"
- the server name may be different
- the last three digits of the version number in [sakai_2-3-x-test-007] may be different

Prerequisite Steps
- Course site must be available with the gradebook added in one of the tool pages.
- The site must have enrollments (site members that are 'students' or with 'access' role.
- This test requires admin access.
Test Scenario
General test instructions
- MyUCDavis (skip to login to Sakai if no su required)
- Login to my.ucdavis.edu (note that MyUCD SU propagates to ips.ucdavis.edu from my.ucdsavis.edu)
- Select admin tool icon
- Select SU Tool
- Search for user (eg, Virginia Haas)
- Select user
- Open a new browser window
- Sakai (http://smartsite-test.ucdavis.edu)
- Click login
- Enter kname of tester (skip to 'select tab for site' if SU Tool not required)
- Select Administration Workspace Tab
- Select SU tool
- Enter SU-target kname
- Select tab for site (eg, FAP 300A SU06)
- Select Gradebook page
- Course Grades
- Click on the words 'Course Grade' at the bottom of the list of Assignments (if any)
- Click on Button with label 'Send Grade to UCD Final Submission Tool'
- Roster Grades
- Click on word 'Roster' in Menu Bar of Gradebook frame
- Click 'Export Excel' and/or 'Export CSV' button(s)
- Course Grades
Exprected outcome
2.7.1 = Course Grades: SS iFrame (the Gradebook Tool frame) is replaced with the Final Grade Submission Tool and there are no exceptional errors.
2.7.2 = Roster Grades: File contains Assignments grades, one per column, after the student and course data:
