- (UCDavis programmers) Shut down Davis Smartsite Prod. and put the application servers in maintenance mode.
- (UCDavis SysAdmin/Operators) Change DNS to point SmartSite.ucdavis.edu to rSmart's IP address and update the MX records.
- (UCDavis SysAdmin/Operators) Rename the Load Balancer for SmartSite to something else.
- (UCDavis SysAdmin) Setup a local url redirect to SmartSite hosted by rSmart. Keep this in place while the full DNS propagation proceeds.
- (UCDavis DBA) Send rSmart a final snaphot of SmartSite-PROD internal database.
- (UCDavis SysAdmin) Transmit the DB snapshot to rSmart
