CV and NIH Biosketch (V2.1) includes the following functionality

CV DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS

  • Help text and Contact Us information available on all new pages.

FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENTS

CV

  • Ability to create, edit, delete multiple CV documents
  • Ability to duplicate or copy CV "templates" to build new or different CVs.
  • An unlimited number of CV documents can be created.
  • Improved CV creation rendering time.
  • All data categories will be available for inclusion or exclusion in the CV.
  • Data categories can be selected with a year rant to refine the data results.
  • Clear all/Check all check boxes to make selection changes.
  • Most CV Data appears in ascending order (where possible).
  • CV can be created in PDF (uneditable) or (RTF) editable format.
  • CV in RTF format can be edited in text editors such as MS Word.
  • The PDF and RTF formats can be downloaded to a location of the user's choice.
  • CV font is Helvetica and font sizes for the title, headers, and content are set.

Special Characters

  • New special character palette that is available on all data entry (including additional information) and letters pages.
  • Special character palette inserts special characters without the need to copy and paste HTML codes.
  • Improved rendering for special characters.

Resequencing

  • New "drag and drop" resequencing functionality that is much faster.
  • Additional Information records AND/OR sections can be resequenced.
  • PDF Uploads can now be resequenced.
  • Presentations now sort in ascending order by Year and then any Month (if selected).
  • Editorial and Advisory Boards now sort by Year.
  • Lecture/Seminar/Lab/Other now sort by Term or Month. Both cannot be selected. If both are selected (legacy data) then the packet displays by Term.
  • Special Advising now sorts in ascending order by Year.
  • Curricular Development now sorts in ascending order by Year

WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor

  • WYSIWYG Editor added to Candidate's Statement, Position Description, Areas of Interest and all Additional Information screens.
  • New lists and tables features.
  • Now able to add an unlimited amount of records to sections.

Design My Packet

  • Improved design for the Design Packet Extensive screen.
  • "Edit in place" headers now available.
  • New select all/clear all checkbox options.
    *(A) Annotation indicators identify records with Annotations.
  • "Edit Annotation" links available for each publication record.
  • Required fields are now indicated in the "Design My Packet" screen but do not prevent the packet from being created.

Annotations

  • Footnotes now have a heading called "Footnotes:" that appear at the bottom of the page.
  • Notations appearing at the front of publication numbers now have enough space to be displayed on the same line.
  • A Notations legend now appears at the bottom of the page.

Format Options

  • Bold, italic and underline options for any pattern in the publication Author, Title, Publication Name or Contributions to Jointly Authored Works fields.
  • An unlimited amount of patterns can be formatted for the publication Author, Title, Publication Name or Contributions to Jointly Authored Works fields.
  • HTML is not insterted into the database when using the new format options.

Contributions to Jointly Authored Works

  • Year now displayed.
  • Print/no print option now available on a per record basis for all Contributions to Jointly Authored Works.

Select Faculty Account (Switch Accounts)

  • Select Faculty Account available on all Version 2 pages.

Data Entry

  • "Last edited" date information added to all edit data entry pages.
  • "This data appears in the (Packet, CV, etc.)" information added to all data entry pages.
  • Easier and faster adding, deleting and updating for data entry.
  • New required fields added. When editing an entry the new required fields must be entered before saving.

Ag. Experimental Station

  • Year information has been added to PDF uploads (similar to Candidate's Statement).

Committees

  • Title added to packet.
  • Alphabetized Committees sub-categories.

Extending Knowledge

  • Periods ( . ) have been added to the end of each Extending Knowledge record.
  • Section heading have been added for "Broadcast, Print, or Electronic Media", "Workshops, Courses, Presentations, or Short Courses", and "Other".

Grants

  • "Purpose/Goals" given a title and relocated from its location directly below "Title".
  • "Type" and "Status" titles added.
  • Grants data entry screens consolidated into one data entry screen.

Honors and Awards

  • "Year" and "Description" titles added.

List of Evaluations

  • "Course Number" and "Course Title" appear on the same line now.
  • URL field added.

Publications

  • URL field now available for all publication categories.
  • "View this Article" links now appear in the previews.
  • Publications data entry screens are now consolidated into one data entry screen.

PubMed Download

  • New select all/clear all checkbox options.
  • Improved and consolidated screens and download features.

Lecture/Seminar/Lab/Other

  • Only Lecture, Seminar, Lab and Other categories available (all other categories are now "Other").

Student Advising

  • Displays last five records (no Design My Packet print/no print options available)

Additional Information

  • Now has a header.
  • Now has a consistent font and font size with the rest of the packet.
  • WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor available.
